About the Trust & Summit
Our mission, history and commitment to combating Diabetes, Hypertension and Renal Disease.
Malleswaram Diabetes & Nephro Prevention Trust
Malleswaram Diabetes & Nephro Prevention Trust was started in November 2015 with the aim of spreading awareness of Diabetes and its complications.
The incidence of Diabetes is increasing rapidly in our country. Presently we have 69.2 million diabetic patients in India, and an equal number are pre-diabetic. However, only half of them have been diagnosed and only one third have control of their disease. Unless we spread awareness of Diabetes and its prevention, it leads to complications with increased morbidity and mortality.
The Trust is committed to changing this through education, screening camps, physician training and academic conferences.
